Definition of a High-Confidence Mitochondrial Proteome at Quantitative Scale.
-
High-confidence yeast mitochondrial proteome study that named MCO14 (the MCO "mitochondrial class one" series). Mco14 is a high-confidence mitochondrial protein whose radiolabeled precursor is imported in a membrane-potential (delta-psi)-dependent manner and assembles into a distinct high-molecular-weight complex, indicating an inner-membrane / matrix-facing location. The study assigns no molecular function to Mco14.
UniProtKB entry P38744 (PHS_YEAST): Putative pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase
-
UniProt reviewed (Swiss-Prot) entry. RecName "Putative pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase" (EC 4.2.1.96); assigns the protein to the pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase family (Pfam PF01329; InterPro IPR001533/IPR036428; CDD cd00488) and notes "Present with 752 molecules/cell in log phase SD medium". The "Putative" designation reflects that the catalytic activity is a family-based inference, not a measured activity for the yeast protein.
