ivd curation notes
- UniProt evidence: UniProt identifies Q88FM5 as isovaleryl-CoA dehydrogenase; the automated mitochondrial suffix is not applicable to a bacterium. [file:PSEPK/ivd/ivd-uniprot.txt "RecName: Full=Isovaleryl-CoA dehydrogenase, mitochondrial"].
- A purified P. aeruginosa LiuA ortholog had acyl-CoA dehydrogenase activity with isovaleryl-CoA, supporting transfer of the specific reaction to the conserved Pseudomonas protein. PMID:18625020.
- The same ortholog also accepted butyryl-CoA, so the broad butyryl-CoA activity is retained as non-core rather than treated as the physiological pathway-defining reaction. PMID:18625020.
- The module uses Ivd for the first committed distal-leucine step and represents oxidized/reduced electron-transfer flavoprotein as reaction participants; FAD is a bound cofactor, not a pathway output.
